Blouse - TopShop / Skirt - Zara / Heels - Pour la Victoire / Bracelet - J. Crew / Earrings - La Vie Parisienne
And so begins another Monday morning... My desire to escape into an adventure is at its highest at the beginning of the week. Given that it's relatively difficult to go on an adventure at my desk, I rely on my favourite novels to add the spirit of adventure to my daily life. I started reading The Three Musketeers last night - it's probably the tenth time I've read it, but there is no one, living or dead, who knows how to write an adventure story the way Alexandre Dumas wrote them. Tell me, who is your favourite author?
Alors commence un
autre lundi matin…
Dites-moi,
c’est qui votre auteur préféré ?

Really lovely outfit, the blue looks stunning on you:)XX
ReplyDeleteMy favourite author...I have got so many...but if I have to read poetry, I go to William Shakespere's sonnets. The love sonnets are so true and deep...really brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI find it so hard to wear one colour top and bottom (I'm not counting black and white which I seem to be firmly at home with as you know Cee)without feeling a little out of place so I love to see one of my favourite bloggers doing this so well. I remember this skirt from the blog before - look how it flows in the wind Cee, lovely.
ReplyDeleteFavourite author? Hmm. I love female writers, Isabel Allende is a current favourite, although since my thesis I seem to have lost my ability to want to read for a time. I'm working on getting it back...

That skirt is really lovely! In terms of authors, I've always been partial to Charlotte Bronte in terms of classics, and Hawthrone.

You look beautiful Cee. Every piece is amazing but I have to mention - what a stunning bracelet! I love the color. I too love adventure-related books and when I was young I was addicted to Famous Five and Secret Seven ;) I also like Ronald Dahl for his amazing imagination and there's a book by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni called Sister of my Heart which is one book I can read over and over and OVER again!
ReplyDeleteJolie tenue! :)

Oh gosh, that skirt is gorgeous!! I would never think to pair these pieces together myself, but they look so beautiful together. I love the all blue palette and your hair looks so pretty. As for my favorite author, I could never choose. I'm notoriously bad at playing favorites and change my mind so often that I have about 20 favorite everythings! XO
ReplyDeleteThis is a really wonderful combination!! I love it! That skirt is a really beautiful piece, so unique!! You look absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI definitely feel super restless on mondays, its the worst!

ReplyDeleteI really reeeeeally love this look Cee. Alexandre Dumas is definitely up there for my favourites, but Audrey Niffenegger takes the cake :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I love everything, head to toe.
ReplyDeleteI think C.S. Lewis is my favorite author and has been since I was very young. A book should enchant and make you believe everything that happens. He does just that in every book in the Chronicles of Narnia :)
Lovely skirt, the bracelet is gorgeous as well. I love so many authors, i.e., Austen, Gibran, Kafka, etc. Enjoy your week. xxoo

Wonderful bluish outfit! I've never read The three musketeers, I'm not into the whole adventure thing :D I prefer war novels :)
ReplyDeleteI don't actually have a favourite author because I honestly have no time to spend on reading books.. though I sometimes definitely try to steal an hour or two, usually when I use a train instead of my car.
ReplyDeletebut your outfit is gorgeous again! those light pastel shades are beautiful and make a perfect whole. I love it!

The Other Side of Gray
Hello, Cee! Oh yay, so happy to be catching up on your blog after being off the computer for the last few days!! And this outfit is such a treat for the eyes - adore the blue on blue, and the shot of the skirt is seriously divine!! Oh adventures, really is there anything better?! I too dream of them often/all the time. Lately, I've really wanted to move to a little lake side cottage somewhere... spend my time writing, taking photos, and getting away from it all! Enjoy your week! xo V

That is a great skirt! I love how you have put it together. I just became a new Vancouver Blogger and it is great to see another Vancouver Blog. Also I think its awesome that you write in English and French. I am learning french so this is a great and fun way for me to keep practicing reading my french.
