I want to introduce you to my neighbour, Porkie. His real name is Rookie, but we didn't know that when we first met him at the bottom of the stairs at the ground floor entrance of our apartment building. My husband was carrying a takeout container of Vietnamese lemongrass pork which piqued his interest immediately - we named him accordingly. He pays us a little visit every time we walk through the courtyard and, when we're on our way back home, he comes with us up to ur apartment, hoping that we'll invite him in so that he can explore and leave little bits of fur on all of our furniture. I've never really been a cat person - you might remember the brief time when we had a stray staying with us - but Porkie quickly became my first French friend!
After Porkie, I had the pleasure of meeting Valériane, a lovely Parisian blogger who introduced me to so many wonderful shops in the capital. I have lots of new things to show you in a few weeks. But before that, my friend Steph is arriving from Canada for a visit! I'm at the airport waiting to meet her right now. We're going to travel to Rome, Berlin and Lisbon together while she's visiting and I can't wait!

Aw, I'm quite fond of the name Porkie - so cute!! And how fun that this little guy likes to greet you and follow you around sounds like he's got loads of personality. And I can't wait to see what sort of goodies you found at these boutiques too, how is the shopping in Paris?! Amazing, expensive?! I'd love to hear your thoughts. And... this outfit is lovely Cee. I'm getting pretty excited to start pairing more of my skirts & dresses with pretty sweaters and this is such lovely inspiration. Enjoy your visit & travels. xo V
ReplyDeleteThe shopping... it's impossible to sum up! There's just so much. The city is full of temptation, from high street brands like H&M to high-end brands like Chanel. I live dangerously close to a neighbourhood full of designer shops that I'll be posting about very soon!
Deletexox,

gosh girl, the excitment never ends! the best thing about Europe is all the places you can hop, skip over to at a moments notice, so happy you'll be exploring this with a good friend by your side :)
ReplyDeleteand omg, Porkie (perhaps with an added accent over the e?) is too cute! i have such a soft spot for the fur babies and orange kittehs are simply le best!! what petite paws he has and such a fetching smize going on there too, ha! love it. was he there with you during this shoot? that'd be why his gaze is almost rapturous. you look amazing, as always!!! the burnt orange sweater with the incredible blue bracelet works so well together. keep on discovering new hot spots....can't wait to see more and more! xo ♥

Cee, I'm glad that you are discovering so many things and meeting so many friends in Paris! Lovely outfit as usual, and the bracelet is such a chic accessory to complete the look!
ReplyDeleteYou are hosting friends already! What a lovely way to get to know a new city too though Cee, with a close friend. This little courtyard looks like a perfect location for outfits posts already. THis is a very fall inspired outfit and photoshoot in my mind. How is the weather in Paris this month? Clearly in Austin I am losing track of the seasons, every day feels like a holiday so far...

Aw, sweet Porkie/Rookie. I'd call him 'Cat', he kinda looks like the one from the movie ;-) As a cat person I am happy to hear you're befriending these kind of fur balls even though you don't share the same "fascination".
ReplyDeleteLove this look on you by the way. That rusty colored top looks great on you, it's just so nice on a pale skin and dark hair. I can't pull that off anymore now ;-)
