(Outfit Diary) La Renaissance

Almost two months ago, I left behind my life in Vancouver, a life I had meticulously created over three years, to live my biggest dream - living in Paris. I left my best friends, my still-only-half-decorated apartment and my career, as miserable as it had been. In truth, it's not only my dream that is being realised in Paris; I find myself in the capital because of nothing I did, but thanks to my husband, who courageously abandonned his financial career to follow his passion for cooking. He is studying in Paris and I am here, too. After eight weeks of travelling and visits I am, as of yesterday morning, alone with my blog, my novel, and my thoughts. I feel a bit like my life is beginning again. It's actually pretty incredible.

Il y a près que deux mois, j’ai quitté ma vie à Vancouver, la vie que j’avais minutieusement créé pendant trois ans, pour vivre mon plus grand rêve – habiter à Paris. J’ai laissé mes meilleurs amis, mon appartement à moitié décoré et mon métier, lamentable comme ce l’était. En fait, ce n’est pas seulement mon rêve qui se réalise à Paris ; je me trouve dans la capitale à cause de mon mari, qui a courageusement rejeté sa carrière financière afin de poursuivre sa passion pour la cuisine. Il étudie à Paris et moi, j’y suis. Apres huit semaines de voyages et visites je suis, dès hier matin, seule avec mon blog, mon roman et mes pensées. J’ai un peu l’impression que ma vie recommence à nouveau. En fait, c'est assez fantastique.
