Today is a holiday called la Toussaint. For me, this is new. In France, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, which isn't hugely surprising, or Halloween as far as I can tell - about two weeks ago, all the stores started to display their Christmas merchandise. I have to admit that I know nothing about traditional Toussaint celebrations, so I'm going to do exactly what I like with this day of total freedom. I'll sleep 'til noon, eat nothing but chocolate for breakfast, and play dress up in my closet [to figure out what I'm missing, naturally!] A happy belated Halloween to my North American friends and big hugs to you all!

We have Ognissanti= Toussaints in Italy too! I don't remember any tradition for this day, I just relaxed with family and had chestnuts and pomegranates since they are in season.
