At the beginning of 2013, I made a list of New Year’s Resolutions that I shared with you all – they came with pretty pictures, but mostly they were sentimental, nebulous, and impossible to quantify as successes {or failures.} And then I stumbled upon The 52 Project, the ingenious brainchild of Elle Sees – and I simply had to join in! To go along with my pretty but impractical resolutions, I’ll be working towards one mini-goal every week this year. Working from home can be very unstructured, so this gives me a little something to focus on each week and reminds me to stay disciplined. My first goal was to not spend money for a week - and it was a complete failure! The sales started in Paris and I was a goner. My second week is going far better; my goal is to practise yoga for at least twenty minutes every day, and so far, I’m three for three! I’ll definitely be working discovering new designers into my goals as the year goes on – the lovely ladies at Polhem PR introduced me to Odd Molly and I’m hooked! I mean, how cute is this silk blouse? I just love everything about it. Happy Wednesday, and good luck working towards your goals!
et me concentrer.
Bises !

I like the print on that blouse!

I like the idea of doing weekly challenges. It's great that you have gotten down to doing Yoga. That is one of my New Year resolutions and I still haven't done anything about it. That's very bad of me!
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse - so feminine and the options to dress it are unlimited! Great piece :-)

Your mini goals are so great, it makes it easier to stick to them when you break them down bit by bit. I already broke my shopping ban, hard. But I am determined to make it a whole months without shopping!!
ReplyDeleteI love this look, that blouse is so pretty and especially with that skirt!!

Cee, I've told you once and Ill tell you again I adore your classic and elegant style! That blouse paired with that skirt looks so sophisticated! That blouse is absolutely lovely and I love the colour on you and how you paired it with a neutral skirt. Its a great idea to make weekly goals. Surprisingly I didn't make any resolutions this year, but as the month goes on I keep thinking of things in my head that I should accomplish. Maybe I should make them into a new years resolution ..
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those goals:) We all struggle to keep on track, especially this time of year. As long as we don't beat ourselves up when we fail we can hopefully keep moving forward:)

You looks so stunning and very European in these photos! If fact, I've noticed you looking more and more European as the months pass. This silk blouse is beautiful....anything silk is simply, well, luxurious!
ReplyDeleteThe 52 Project sounds like a wonderful idea. Setting and completing "small" goals is certainly a way to remain motivated, versus setting unattainable, big goals. Best of luck on these!
Tu es très chic !

Love the blouse! How are you liking daily yoga ( do you follow a class or video) ? I'm going to a class weekly and it's hard but its so rewarding!
ReplyDeleteI do all of my yoga at home, following along with videos from instructor Tara Stiles. She's amazing - I can't recommend her enough!

I have heard quite much about OM clothes but you can't find those pieces from my country so I haven't seen anything with my own eyes. your top is beautiful though, especially the pattern. and what a lovely skirt that is. such a dreamy combo.

Your pretty blouse makes me think of spring and it's a versatile style and colour too. The 52 Project sounds like an excellent idea - mini achievable goals. The 'not spending money for a week' in the middle of the Paris sales was obviously a difficult (impossible!)one!
ReplyDeletehttp://missbbobochic.blogspot.co.uk/
It is indeed a lovely blouse!
ReplyDeleteThe idea of a weekly goal is great, it'll actually give me something to ponder on and concentrate.
And also thank you for your nice comment and I've been meaning to ask you what happened happened to your lovely long hair, Now that I've missed so many posts :)

Hi Sehar,
DeleteSadly, I cut my hair before coming to Paris. It seemed at the time like it would be easier, but I regret it now :( Luckily, hair grows!

well i can understand how goal #1 got left by the wayside...i'm sure those sales going on in Paris were completely irresistible and shopping through them would have been intoxicating!!! glad #2 is fairing better and what a good goal too. Sean & i went to the nearby community center last week to check out their yoga classes. we might be joining soon to get our butts in better gear :)
ReplyDeletegood for you about taking on this project Cee, i hadn't heard of it but if it gets you trying out new things each week i'm all for that and cheering you on all the way to the finish line!!!
your outfit is a lovely, creamy bouquet. very romantic and soft!! thanks for all the loves you left me...i'm hoping i don't blow it all over again though. down with the flu yesterday & today. i hope it's one of those 48 hour ordeals and then i just have to get back to work tomorrow, oi-oi-oi! seeing your pretty face always makes me feel better though. xo ♥
J'adore tes chaussures ;)
