(Outfit Diary) Bloggers Do It Better

November 20, 2013

Kookai sweater, American Eagle jeans (c/o), Sezane heels, Romwe scarf, Louis Vuitton bag, Stella & Dot bracelet

When I started Coco & Vera, I thought I had a good sense of my style... but if writing this blog has taught me anything, it's that style is not static. We constantly redefine our tastes as change and grow. Paris has cast a pretty long shadow over my life, including my wardrobe. My outfit choices have been all neutral, all the time for months. The idea of wearing pink pants, even in the most subtle shade, would never have crossed my mind; that is, until American Eagle challenged me, and my lovely pals Alicia and Alex, to do exactly that as part of their Bloggers Do It Better campaign. I admit, I was hesitant... but with a little help from my BFFFFF and some inspiration from his beloved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I managed to come up with a look that incorporated a pair of pink pants but still felt like me. So much so, in fact, that I think I'm a pink denim convert - I'm already plotting to restyle these pretty skinnies in the coming weeks. But in the meantime, you can visit the American Eagle blog to see how we three Vancouver gals styled their iridescent jegging!

  10. I would have never though these jeans would be out of your comfort zone, you look totally natural in them and I can totally atest to the idea that things we thought we'd never wear can become closet staples before our very eyes. And I had such a style crush on buffy for my entire young adult life.
