I know my style as much in design as I do in fashion, but my home is far from where I think it could be and I’m always looking for inspiration, which is why I love attending IDS – the Interior Design Show. The show is held at the Vancouver Convention Centre each year, and I always leave with so many new ideas (although in the end, I usually always come back to wanting an all-white-everything colour scheme with black and gold accents – like I said, I know what I like.) But this year, there are more than just ideas to take home; on opening night, the first 2500 attendees will receive an Inform Favourites Party Gift Bag, a custom-designed, limited edition tote bag that was put together in a collaboration between IDS Vancouver, Inform Interiors and Intracorp. With three eye-catching designs available – by Ontwerpduo, Lindsey Hampton and Civilization, respectively – the totes won’t just be unique to the event; each one will contain a code, allowing the recipients to enter a for a chance to win a prize. And every bag will have a winner, which is an unprecedented giveaway at IDS Vancouver! The opening night party takes place this Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 7 to 11 pm, and I’ll be there with my tote on my shoulder. If you’re in the Vancouver area, you can purchase advance tickets online for only $35; they’re also available at the door for $40. IDS continues on September 24 and 25, just in case you won’t be able to make it for the opening night party fun; the centre point of the exhibits will be the Fire Kitchen by design giant Tom Dixon (sponsored by Caesarstone.) There will also be a pop-up shop on site, presented by Inform Interiors, featuring Tom’s latest designs and accessories. We visited Tom’s showroom in NYC recently – in fact, most of these photos were taken there, including the shot of the amazing copper light fixtures – and believe me, if you’re a design lover, you will not want to miss a chance to experience his work in person. If you’re interested in being at IDS Vancouver, make sure to stop by my instagram for a chance to win two complimentary tickets!

Je vous reviens en francais des mercredi, mes belles, c’est promis ! Bonne journée a vous tous.

  3. Sounds so fun! I love interior design as well and love attending the occasional show. (I too am a fan of all white with black and gold accents – and a little bohemian pattern thrown in too, of course ;)).

I think you could easily fit that amazing lighting into your current color scheme, and i too have an obsession with home decor to rival that of clothes.
