Floriane Fosso Flagship Store

March 15, 2017

One of the things I love most about coming back to Paris is having the opportunity to reconnect with – and shop the collections from – my favourite independent designers. When my girlfriend Joelle first introduced me to Floriane Fosso and the imaginative creations in her From Paris to... line a year ago, I fell instantly in love. You’ve all seen me wear my Lucy dress, the unconventional shape and pattern of which make it one of the most unique items in my wardrobe. Naturally, when I learned that Floriane had opened her own shop in Paris, I immediately added it to my list of must-visit locations. The day of my first visit was grey and pouring rain, so stepping down into the warmly illuminated space on rue Montpensier was, without a doubt, a relief. The weather had kept most shoppers at home, so we were free to browse at our leisure, though with a nail bar in the back and a cozy chair right up front, the boutique seems designed for leisurely experiences no matter when you visit – and what a pleasure it is to visit. We had such a lovely time getting to know the space, and I had a good laugh in the change room when, after I had tried on and requested all the pieces I wanted, Floriane suggested I try on the very vivid pink dress you see in the second photo – it didn’t suit me, but it was fun, anyway. For me, that moment really embodied the spirit of Floriane’s collections for me, the lightheartedness and fun she brings to the sometimes very serious fashion world, while still crafting timeless, beautifully tailored pieces. If you’re a fashionista in Paris, her boutique is not to be missed.

Boutique Floriane Fosso
39, rue Montpensier

I love small shops where you can see the owners creativity and personality shine though the pieces and design. I love the idea of a nail bar in the back, that is so inviting! Now she needs a dry bar, because what is better than trying on pretty dresses with a fresh manny and blowout, right?
