Meanwhile, back in reality… I mean Vancouver, all kinds of exciting things have been happening. I loathe describing my life as busy – I mean, seriously, when did that become an acceptable way to answer the question, “How are you?” With the amount of Netflix we all watch, fine is still a way more accurate answer – but between the move and the trip and all the amazing fashion things that have been happening in Vancouver, I feel like I haven’t sat still all year. So yes, I suppose I’ve been busy, but you know what, I still don’t want to say it – it’s not a badge of honour; everything I do is a choice and I have too much on my plate because I love every frantic minute of what I do. When Prada opened their first Vancouver boutique on Alberni Street, I couldn’t say yes to the invitation to the opening party fast enough. It was the perfect chance to wear the stunning dress I brought back from Paris, made by the talented and absolutely lovely Floriane Fosso for her From Paris To… collection (which, I am proud to say, is nearly sold out now, but there are a few pieces left in her online shop that you will not want to miss.) I went to the Prada party with my best girl, Lyndi, and I can’t think of a more fun way to spend an evening – what’s not to love about sipping champagne while wandering a boutique full of ornate gowns, pristine leather handbags and all the shoes you never knew you needed in your life? (Seriously – the platform sandals from Prada this season are to die for.) Admittedly, we didn’t buy anything, but if you follow me on instagram or snapchat, you know that we came home with an adorable shopping bag, several additions to our shopping wishlists and the memory of a fabulous evening, but really – what more could you ask for? Although I wouldn’t say no to a Galleria bag…
