When Ever New first opened its doors in Vancouver, I knew the brand was Australian, but I didn’t take much notice. My obsession with Aussie style wasn’t yet fully formed back then. For a few years, every time a sweater caught my eye while I scrolled instagram, I discovered that an Australian brand made it. Eventually, I put the pieces together and realized that I wished I could swap out everything in my closet for the (more stylish) Aussie version. Our decision to leave Vancouver coincided with that realization. (Obviously, the two were unrelated.) I couldn’t resist walking into Ever New whenever I passed their store this year. And I was there all the time, since it was located just a few short blocks from my apartment. There is no Ever New store in my hometown. My days of happy browsing are sadly over for now. I left behind easy access to most of my favourite brands when we moved to Winnipeg. While I haven’t acknowledged that up to this point, it’s reality. And it should prove to be better for my bank account in the long run – or so I keep telling myself. In actuality, what it most likely means is that I will go online to get my hands on the clothes I covet. (More often than I already do, that is…!) And, as luck would have it, I will be able to feed my addiction to Aussie fashion. That’s right; Ever New now offers Canada-wide shipping from their online store. My Dilly block heel sandals have been on heavy rotation since they arrived (which you might already know if you follow me on instagram.) Block heels really are my favourite thing right now, they’re just so comfortable! And I’ve got my eye on this simple summer dress. After all, when it’s hot outside, there’s nothing better than clothes you can just throw on before going for ice cream! I’m sure I can’t be alone in my love of all things Australian fashion. So tell me, what are your favourite Aussie labels?
