It’s strange to think that these photos were taken just a few short weeks ago. There was already a distinct chill in the air and I regretted having bare ankles even for the scant few minutes that it took to walk to our neighbourhood sandwich shop for lunch. Fast forward to Friday evening, when I looked out my window to find snow falling on the street outside. It’s remarkable how quickly the seasons change; how crisp sweater weather turns into coat-hat-and-boots weather, sometimes within just a few hours. Of course, I’m writing this from the frozen tundra of Winnipeg, and by comparison, Vancouver’s winter weather seems positively balmy. But since this is a fashion blog, I promise, this will be the last post about weather for the season – after all, we all know how cold it is, there’s no sense dwelling on it. It’s so much better just to focus on the good parts of winter, like how easy it becomes to justify new coat purchases. Personally, I’ve been daydreaming about this stunning piece and also have my eye on this budget-friendly classic. What coats are currently on your wishlist?
C’est drôle de penser que ces photos ne datent que d’il y a quelques semaines. Il faisait déjà assez frais et je regrettais le fait d’avoir mis mon jean boyfriend, qui expose mes chevilles, même pendant les petites minutes qu’il nous a fallu pour retrouver le bistro du coin où nous avions déjeuné. Passons directement à vendredi soir, quand j’ai regardé à travers ma fenêtre et vu la neige qui tombait dehors. Un moment, c’était l’automne – le prochain, l’hiver. Ceci dit, je vous écris de la toundra de Winnipeg, et, en comparaison, le temps à Vancouver fait super beau. Mais étant donné que Coco & Vera est un blog mode, et non un blog météo, c’est fini la discussion de l’hiver. Pourquoi s’attarder sur le fait qu’il fait froid ? Il vaut beaucoup mieux se concentrer sur ce qu’on aime chez l’hiver – et ce que j’aime, moi, c’est le fait je peux tellement facilement justifier l’achat de plein de nouveaux manteaux. Ce magnifique manteau gris, j’en rêve – et j’envisage aussi m’offrir ce manteau noir classique à prix abordable. Quels manteaux vous tentent en ce moment ?
