Just an Outfit

…because sometimes, an outfit is all there is to it. This is one that I wore on repeat this fall, before the snow arrived, suddenly and sneakily during my sunny week in Las Vegas. (And let me tell you, there is nothing quite like texting your dad to say, “Can you bring my boots when you come to the airport to meet us? It was warm when we left, so I only packed sandals.”) We photographed it mostly because it was sunny that day, and Fran had just done my hair. I admit my flat iron skills are improving, but the pace of improvement is way too slow for my taste. And so it only makes sense that we take outfit photos when someone with real skills has done my hair for me.

The days of running out to take photos after a hair appointment are sadly over for the season, though. The sun sets earlier every day and, after one attempt at taking photos in the snow, I’ve sworn off it entirely. Which means this is probably the last time I’ll share “just an outfit” for a while. But it also means I have even more excuses to stay inside and binge watch Netflix, so I won’t complain… just yet. Talk to me again in January.
