This coat is the stuff that fashion fairytales are made of. Although it isn’t always obvious, I am obsessed with all things leopard. My love of animal prints began with a pair of tiger print boots in grade eleven – after spending years living at my parents’, they moved into my closet this fall. Some seasons, I’m indifferent to animal prints… but this season, I can’t get enough. I lamented my lack of leopard coat to Lydia, who has a beautiful one, and, in a twist deserving of it’s own SATC episode, she let me know she’d seen another one in a thrift store near her home that she thought I might like. A few emails and iPhone snapshots later, this vintage beauty was on its way to me all the way from Connecticut. And this outfit is just the beginning of a long and stylish friendship.
L’histoire de ce manteau ressemble peu à un conte de fées modeuses. J’aime d’amour le léopard, bien que mets pas toujours mon amour en évidence sur mon blog. J’adore les motifs animal depuis longtemps – j’ai commencé par des bottines motif tigre. En fait, ces bottines habitent mon armoire depuis douze ans ! Des fois, je reste insensible aux motifs animaux pendant un an… mais cette année, je ne m’en lasse pas. Je me lamentais sur ma manque de manteau léopard à Lydia – j’admirais le sien en même temps – et elle m’a dit, “J’ai vu un autre et j’ai pensé à toi – veux-tu que j’aille l’acheter ?” C’était un moment qui mérite une émission de SATC, tellement j’étais ravie. Quelques mails et cliches iPhone plus tard, j’avais mon manteau léopard… et cette tenue marque le début d’une très bonne amitié.

I also have a leopard coat, unfortunately not a vintage one but still, and I should definitely take it out this winter because for example today we had almost -20 degrees C already. anyway, I love it how you have combined the glamorous coat with more casual classic blue jeans and a comfy tee!
Yes, that Lydia always has marvellous leopard pieces. I love leopard, and always have, but I do enjoy bolder mixtures in fashion. I think you look incredibly chic, and I love the red lip colour! xx/Madison Happy weekend Cee!
