A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon an article about how to wear black in the summer. I had to do a double take – black may attract heat, but it never occurred to me not to wear it during the summer months for any reason, least of all practical ones. I can’t imagine living through an entire season – even a short one, which summer inevitably is – without my favourite colour. Which is why I didn’t hesitate to pick up this oversized hat from H&M… it’s quickly become my new obsession, and I rarely leave home without it… and why I practically tripped over my own two feet rushing to the cash register with this Rag & Bone dress when I found it in my size, priced at 85% off, at the recent Gravity Pope warehouse sale. As far as I’m concerned, black as much seasonless as it is timeless.
Il y a quelques semaines, je suis tombée sur un article expliquant comment porter le noir pendant l’été. J’ai eu un petit temps d’arrêt – je sais que le noir attire le soleil, mais l’idée de ne pas le mettre pendant l’été ne m’est jamais venue à l’esprit. Je n’arrive pas à imaginer passer toute une saison – même une saison courte, comme l’été – sans ma couleur préférée. Et c’est pour ça que je n’ai pas hésité à m’offrir ce chapeau chez H&M… c’est vite devenu mon chapeau d’amour, et je pars rarement de chez moi sans le mettre… et pour ça que j’ai pratiquement trébuché sur mes propres pieds en me précipitant vers les caisses lorsque j’ai trouvé cette robe Rag & Bone soldé à moins 85% chez Gravity Pope. À mon avis, le noir est autant insaisonnié qu’intemporel.
